heritage.

uncle tahir passed away yesterday morning around 4am, malaysian time. i was shocked upon hearing the news though initially i was not sure which one was uncle tahir. he was not really close to the family, but we did see each other at times. i can't recall when was the last time i saw him. i think during a family wedding almost a year back. or mase terawih last year? wow. though he was not close to me, but somehow rase sedih. i remember 2 years back kak nisaa's aunt, they called her "mak uda" had cancer if not mistaken. and uncle tahir had a gift to treat cancer dengan baca ayat Al-Quran like that. dengan izin Allah, insyaAllah can be cured. uncle tahir himself had cancer. we arranged for uncle to meet mak uda but on the way to kak nisaa's house afta meeting up with uncle, kak nisaa got a call that mak uda da tenat. and i think that night or a day after that, she passed away. so tak sempat pon uncle tahir nak jumpe. now, 2 years later, uncle tahir passed away. al-fatihah. .

kesian aunty norita. . no, aunty norita is not the wife. but the offspring. dont know why i called uncle tahir as "uncle". supposedly uncle tahir pangkat atuk. maybe coz papa used to call him "uncle". addressing each other in my family memang da far-fetched. i have so many family members that i rarely see or visit so bile jumpe we don't really know how to address. even i call my grandma as "mak". i don't call my dad's sis as "aunt". i call her "titer" despite her name saidatul. so weird kan. tak tau mane dtg titer tu. papa's brother lak i call him "Daddy". the wife "Mama" la of course. but somehow all these occur in papa's family only. ibu nye tak. i remember tok jah (maternal) said i cannot call mak as "mak" coz she's my grandma not my mother. huhu. in case u're wonderin wat my dad calls his mother, its "Enche". meaning "mak" in perak. abah's side. oh abah (paternal) is my grandpa. was. and mak is not from perak. she's mixed acheh and indonesian nye race which i'm not sure what. that is why her name has "Chut" in front. so in conclusion the family is mixed of malay, chinese, acheh, and . . . dats it la i think. my moyang? i called her "nenek". she was a chinese. converted to muslim. that's where the chinese part came from :)

i should go. class in less than 15 mins.

till den! ta!
